I sometimes wonder why brands of such high calibre bother making sneakers. I mean, who in their right mind will:

1. Want to wear a pair of $2000+USD retail kicks and wear them out, and
2. Why would you buy them, when you can buy something so much cooler from the same brand, like say, a suit?

Rich peeps, huh?

Yves Saint Laurent is one of those ‘You can’t touch this.” brands, and they now offer us an exclusive look into the brand’s sneaker collection for Spring/Summer 2011. Showcasing high tops and chukkas, the footwear is shown through a vigorous video edit, which has been done in black and white.
