Floating Points – Shadows

I’ve been sitting on this little gem for a while now, I think it’s time you guys gave it a listen.

Floating Points has produced yet another stellar EP in Shadows. A moody collection of tracks that winds it’s way from deep house with punchy bass lines to airy instrumental dub sounds. This array of sound is perhaps what makes Floating Points so appealing as an artist.

It’s sleek and sultry house music that gets the mind ticking over and the foot tapping. It’s electronic music like this that cements the at times questioned genre as a true musical outlet for talented persons. The layers and complexity of this EP is nothing short of outstanding, the progression of hooks, riffs and melodies is something you’d expect from an orchestra.

Myrtle Avenue is my pick off the album – turn the lights down, kick back, grab a delicious aged rum and enjoy it.
