Eastpak Bags

Posted on February 7, 2012 by Textbook

Bags are a necessity for most people these days, and have become an important fashion accessory too, which is why Eastpak is worth knowing about.

On the East Coast of the United States of America, Eastern Cavas Products started producing bags in 1952 for the US Army. These bags were much the same as the type of bags that college students would then use in the 1970′s. With that mind, the brand Eastpak was then created in 1977, hitting the consumer market with their first signature backpack that they still produce today.

Clearly Eastpak have been around for some time, still managing to produce simple and innovative high-end quality bags with their latest releases.

In addition to their core range, Eastpak have also collaborated with the likes of Raf Simons, Rick Owns, Eley Kishimoto, Christopher Shannon, Kenzo Minami and Kris Van Assche.

Still not impressed?

Well, Eastpak even have their own artist studio where 77 creative designers are picked to create original creations from limited edition Eastpak bags. These creative designers include painters, sculptors, poets, musicians and graffiti artists. The proceeds from these creations are then donated to local charities from each country participating.

It would certainly seem Eastpack are still a very busy and active brand. As for what’s next, Eastpack will continue to provide style and quality.

Be sure to check out www.eastpak.com for a complete look at their collection of bags, backpacks and luggage.
