Fashion + Film project No Home is back and bigger than ever in 2012. A showcase of original short films from leading and emerging Australian fashion designers and filmmakers.

No Home 12 is part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival cultural program and runs from March 3rd-5th at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).

First launched in 2011, No Home is the creation of Alastair McCann and Justin Watson. After premiering to great success, No Home proved to pique the interest of a large number of filmmakers and fashion designers. As a result,  No Home 12 is a greenhouse of creativity with an array of variety - themes range between abstract, experimental, mysterious and conceptual to musical, fun and chaotic.

No Home 12’s high calibre of filmmakers, fashion designers and collaborators is an explosive example of the growing conversation between fashion and film.

Internationally acclaimed designer Aurelio Costarella features songbird Grace Woodroofe - who was discovered by Heath Ledger at 16, then introduced to Ben Harper - and Project Runway success Gabrielle Stephens is also involved, with her label Collecting Pretty Boys.

Some No Home 12 filmmakers come from backgrounds in feature, documentary and short films, while others are fashion photographers. Marco Vidaurre, who directed Lela Jacobs’ film, has previously contributed to blockbusters such as Avatar, The Lovely Bones, King Kong and all three Lord of The Rings films.

Other notable names include Trimäpee (Christian Blanchard), NOM*d (Rebecca O’Brien), Song for the Mute (Marcel Gunawen) and Dion Lee (Lorin Askin).

Ticket prices are - full price: $28 and concession: $24. Ticket packages are also available – a session pass (4 tickets, only available for the same sessions) is full price: $96 and concession $80. A project pass (3 nights) is full price: $72 and concession $60.
