Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite – “Away”
Posted on March 6, 2012 by Textbook
I was never a fan of low cut basketball sneaker… Until now.
Ok, that’s a lie. I liked the look of low cut basketball sneakers, but I wouldn’t wear them to play in.
However, recently I jumped on the Nike Zoom Kobe bandwagon and copped a pair of VI’s to play in, which quickly changed my opinion. So much so that I’m all about wearing low cut sneakers now, and these Black/Gold Nike Zoom Kobe Elite VII’s are the nicest I’ve seen in quite some time. The Year of the Dragon VII’s really stood out and impressed me, but not nearly as much as these gems.
This subtle Black/Gold colourway has been perfectly constructed. It’s scale like upper reminds me of the VI’s upper, which was a big hit in m opinion. What’s most impressive, however, is the carbon fiber that appears on the heal of the sneaker. It adds taste and detail that tops off the sneaker and its look. The gold Nike tick and the gold spotted lacers are also design elements that further add style to this brilliant colourway.
This Kobe VII is apart of Nike’s Elite series, which is why it’s been dubbed the Nike Zoom Kobe VII “Elite”. Basically, it’s a upgraded version of te Kobe VII. I mean, only a upgraded sneaker would have integrated carbon fiber, right?
As for a release date, I understand that they are set to drop April 20, but don’t hold me to that date.
