Nike ‘Wedge’ Dunk: Sneak Peek!
Posted on March 15, 2012 by Rex
It’s happening. Nike have jumped on the bandwagon, perhaps inspired by the raging trade of the faux stiletto Jordans, or perhaps taking a leaf out of Isabel Marants book.
One little teaser from High Snobette is all we’re working with at the moment. However, one little teaser oozes relevance with the concealed wedge trend brought to our attention by the advocation, and subsequent bastardization of Isabel Marants kicks.
Nike are doing what they do best, and the Wedge Dunk doesn’t actually look like a wedge – this is why it will work. To see when it doesn’t work see the Chloe sneakers below, best paired with a Juicy Couture velour tracksuit.
You might be asking “What does this mean for the feet of womankind?” The sneaker bandwagon is almost full, and the heeled kick is opening a whole new world of hideousness.
It’s easy to get caught up in the name – there was a point in time where I considered parting with $800 for a pair, but stay strong ladies and tread carefully (haha, geddit?). Before purchasing, see Sex & The City “A Womans Right to Shoes”, and think about the irreversible damage Havianas have done to our image already.
