KSUBI – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2012

Ksubi. They kept everyone waiting and then, after 45 minutes, they sent triple denim down a runway beneath a neon crucifix. Fuckin’ ace.

The 90′s vibe was undeniable. Triple (even quadruple – inclusive of hats) denim, white denim, puffer jackets, reflective silvers, leather panels – layers layers layers.

The show was styled by Christine Centenera, known for her street aesthetic, and embodied everything we’ve come to know and love from the Ksubi guys. Not to mention a lot of trends we predict will be filtering through Australian designers in seasons to come. It’s all about street.

Despite being initially a little underwhelmed – a) because we’d waited so long and b) because it went so quickly – we’re sure when this hits stores it’ll be one of the most coveted collections of the season.

Oh, and hell yeah to light denim drop crotch.
