Little Hero 5th Birthday Party
Posted on May 8, 2012 by Rex
We like to party, and our friends over at Little Hero sure know how to throw one.
Last Thursday evening, Little Hero PR celebrated 5 years in the business at the new venue ‘The Bar at the End of the Wharf’ at the Sydney Theatre Company in Walsh Bay.
NB: If you’re a Walsh Bay n00b, you may have as much trouble finding the venue as we did. You see, we took the name a little too literally and looked for the bar at the end of the wharf. In searching our group of 5 grew with fellow party goers looking for the same literal venue. By the time we finished we’d climbed a fire escape, tried to enter via the kitchen, were up to a group of 9 people, then 11 people, walked through rehearsal halls and eventually did the thing men never do, and asked for directions. Once we got in it was kick ass, and totally worth the confusion.

It also marked the end of Little Hero‘s busy Fashion Week schedule featuring shows for Romance Was Born, Alice McCall, Jenny Kee and Carl Kapp.
Seeing former Vogue Fashion Editor Meg Gray, Hugo Weaving and designers like Anna & Luke (of Romance Was Born) in their natural habitat was kind of like seeing a dog walk on its hind legs. You knew it could do it, you like seeing them do it but you never really expected to see it. It was nice to see so many people who’d spent the week with their game face on, smiling and laughing.
Media, buyers, industry insiders and friends of Little Hero let their hair down with dancing and drinks against a backdrop of stellar views of the Sydney Harbour to celebrate with music by Radge, Leroi, Holiday and Rae Rae.
Champagne Duval-Leroy, Motif and Barossa Valley Estate wines were served along with a ‘Tim Burton’ esque custom made tiered chocolate birthday cake by The Chocolate Artisan… Although, I enjoyed the former a little too much to realise the later was there until I’d missed it.
Happy Birthday Little Heroes!
