Formerly known as Secret Wars, Secret Walls, starts its fourth season in creative mecca, Melbourne.
The recent words on most peoples lips was the name change from wars to walls, now with the announcement of the fourth season in Melbourne, an entirely new venue and the amazingly cadre of artists involved Secret Walls, business is now getting serious. With an unquestionable move to the young and vibrant Order of Melbourne, Secret Walls has established the perfect setting for what will be an entertaining season of battles.
It’s great to see how far Secret Wars Walls has come in the last couple of years, from humble beginnings and roots in Europe, to a boiling following in both Sydney and Melbourne. Regardless of success, the heads behind the initiative still take pride in an active role in supporting amazing local talent with a program that has given so many artists in the past the leg up into the lime light they deserve. With the battles now being viewed by more punters, we can guarantee this season in Melbourne and the following in Sydney will be no different and the unearthing of artists rich in talent will be ten fold.
This years Melbourne season see’s the likes of Conrad Bizjak, Eleven, Katie Houghton-Ward, Hancock, Jack Douglas, Jessica Singh, Reliable and Steve Cross take to the stage in what will no doubt be an epic couple of months.
It all kicks off on Wednesday the 30th of May between Hancock and Reliable at the Order of Melbourne. Proceedings get underway from 6.30 with the battle starting at 8.30. Tickets are $17 from Moshtix (not including booking fee) or $20 on the door. If past battles are anything to go by, these things sell like hot titties in the titty shop, so make sure you get involved.
