NBA x Marvel Comics x New Era caps

Now this is something that is coming straight out of the outer left field of a baseball diamond;

The NBA, Marvel Comics and New Era have got together to create these hats that have been dubbed ‘The Team Hero Pack’. The hats consist of popular characters from the Marvel Comics universe being teamed up with some NBA teams consisting the likes of The Thunder, The Spurs, The Bulls, The Hornets, The Nuggets, The Mavericks, The Knicks, 76ers, and even The Magic. In total, there are 15 teams represented, meaning that  50 percent of the total teams are included in this pack. Sounds cool, huh?

The 9FIFTY snapbacks feature the teams name in bold font on the front of the hat, with the super hero placed on the right. Pretty standard stuff, but to be honest, seeing Wolverine in different colours kinda sucked. There are so many superheroes to choose from, why couldn’t they just use someone else like say, the Silver Surfer?

If you want one, you can pick one up from Amazingstore online shop in Tokyo, or visit your nearest New Era dealer. Chances are, you will not catch me in one, as I am not a fan of mixing two of my favourite things into a hat. Maybe because I think it looks tacky. Or maybe it’s because there isn’t a Clippers version, so I am just bitter.
