TWS 30TH ANNIVERSARY INTERVIEWS # 25 & 24

Posted on May 30, 2012 by Mr. Pickles

2 more from the crew over at Transworld.

So after a recent move in the last month or so, mostly due to my own laziness I have had no internet connection apart from whatever rubbish Vodafone is pumping out these days. It’s good to be back again, can’t say I missed ending up in the strange part of YouTube much but I’m sure I will smile when I get a cease and desist email regarding copyright infringement from a lovely big corporation in hollywood in the near future.

One thing I promised our readers I would bring you was these interviews, and trust me I’ve been keen as fuck to get online and watch ‘em. Over the next week or so we can play catch up and peek into the minds of some of the best skateboarders known to man.

Number 25 on the list is one hell of a freak of a man; Heath Kichart. In his peak he showcased his ability of performing some of the hardest street tricks whilst throwing him self down some of the biggest rails skated. Retiring from skateboarding in 2010, time will tell if we will ever get to see another part from him. Interesting that he’s the 1st person to only have 1 part for these interviews. You will notice he is quite reserved, something that only added to the finesse of one of the finest.

Coming in at 24 is Jason Jessee, who I must admit I had not heard of. As much as I enjoy hearing the thoughts of the people I have watched over the last 10 years or so, its cool to get an insight into something that was perhaps further back then my spectrum or simply just overlooked. I now know he had a brief run at the top of the ’80s vert scene and Transworld described him as “Simply one of the baddest individuals ever to ride a skateboard.” Seems like a cool dude and I’ll be sure to find some more footage of him in the near future.

Enjoy.
