How to cheat on your Vans, without coming off as a slut.

Buying a pair of Vans shouldn’t lock you into a monogamous relationship with a single brand, surely polygamy is the only healthy way to ensure a well balanced shoe collection? Us impressionable youths can only express ourselves in so many ways and fashion has to be the most accessible way!

With this said, I come to you with a proposal.

Society has told you, your whole life that you should be faithful to only one true love. In my opinion, the majority of society doesn’t know shit…

Share all the love you can, anytime you can, when it comes to your shoe collection. Not only will it increase the longevity of your collection but it will keep your wardrobe fresh and full of variety.

Onto our first temptress, the Air Max 87. When she first hit the shelves this foxy little number started a revolution, much like our trusty Vans Authentics. More recently however they have revamped this classic kick into a shoe that should be a strong contender in your leather menage a trois. With a delicate suede and leather body and a defining beige soul, the Air Max 87 is a front runner when it comes to cheating on your Vans.

The Air Max 87 would love to come home with you and maybe party with some earth toned chinos and maybe even throw in a black button up to spice things up.

Don’t be shy to experiment.

One of my other favourite choices for an alternative for to the ever suitable Vans Authentics would have to be Pointer Mathieson Mid Leather Trainers with brown leather shoulders and a maroon suede and leather body. These gorgeous little things right here… they’re business. These naughty girls yearn from the Pointer 2010-2011 collection would take pride and place as a trophy ‘wife’ in any mans collection of shoes.

These shoes are rather particular about who you share them with however (The prettier ones are always the fussiest). However, I am really vibing the maroon for this winter so a casual maroon T-shirt with some simple black pants will easily shine up these little treasures.

So with that said, don’t be shy! Take one of these beauties home to meet your Vans. Leave them to mingle with the rest of your wardrobe and you may be pleasantly surprised.
