Video: Lana Del Rey & A$AP Rocky ‘National Anthem’ trailer

A$AP Rocky features in the ‘National Anthem‘ video as JFK opposite Lana Del Rey as Jackie O.

What a collaboration. Our boy Textbook was on A$AP’s mixtape quicker than you could say LiveLoveA$AP and I was singing Lana’s praise from the first note I heard. DJ Terry Urban picked up on her notorious undertones in a mixtape entitled Born Ready to Die where he mixed Del Rey with the B.I.G.

So, what do we make of the video? It’s pretty sexy, and has the vaseline over the lens look Lana loves. A$AP described it as “some cool trippy shit, some real 2015 shit. people are going to get it in three years, and that’s the whole purpose of it.”

OK.

I, for one, am happy to see Lana Del Rey swan on over to the hip hop scene. Her lyrics are part white trash part cashed up Kanye West and I like that about her. Any chick who sings about a Bugatti Veyron is alright by me.

What I’m really looking forward to is ‘Ridin‘ in which Lana and A$AP have collaborated on and will appear on his debut album LongLiveA$AP.
