K-Town: The ‘Asian Jersey Shore’ Debuts

Sigh. Just days before The Shire makes is set to launch, another embarrassing show premieres from Koreatown, Los Angeles. Via YouTube.

We, the Asian peoples, have suffered numerous American mainstream embarrassments. Take William Hung as a prime example. But you know what? At least William Hung was kind of funny in his own retarded way. This is just bad and sure to induce many face-palms.

K-Town features everything you would expect from an ‘Asian Jersey Shore’: Some Korean meathead in tacky jewelry and a bandana, awfully scripted dialogue, lots of gelled hair and deportation issues getting in the way of romance (not even kidding).

Characters include Joe, who we are told is “The Bad-Ass,” and Jowe (pronounced Joey) “The Heartbreaker.”

I’m just waiting for one of the characters to show us their Kim Chi fridge. No doubt that this show is going to piss off alot of conservative Asian parents, and in turn make them even stricter on their own children.
