Secret Walls Sydney Round 2 – Teem Vs. Veks
Posted on July 12, 2012 by L&G
It was Veks Vs. Teem. One of PRIMO!’s favourites, versus a young gun from Sydney with some super talent.
Last night, Secret Walls round two went off like a rocket, with people cramming into the Oxford Arts Factory to watch two extremely good artist go against each other to take out round two winning glory. Normally, I am super good at picking winners. There has been the odd occasion when I have gotten it wrong, but most of the time, I am on the money. Last night, was one of those days.
Both artists came out strong, with Teem making his stabs noticeable from the get go. Veks, kept his composure and, with his headphones on listening to what I am guessing was Waka Flocka Flame’s ‘Hard In The Paint’ on repeat, Veks paced himself with his killer robot art.
As the night progressed, the crowd began to get larger. I ended up situated myself next next to another Secret Walls artist Alex LeHours, and we began to speculate who would take it out.I got the feeling that Veks had Teem in the bag. His robot was completely off the chain, and Alex seemed to agree. Taking nothing away from Teem though, as his work was in-your-face badass shit. This was going to be a tight finish.
When the night was all said and done, and the announcement was made. Teem had taken it in a landslide. I ended up being wrong which was a good thing. Fuck I love Teem. He is such a cool dude.
From all the PRIMO! magazine team, congratulations to Teem win. Keep your eyes peeled for Secret Walls round three, where Ben Brown will be taking on Pudler
