Apple iPhone 5 rumoured announcement

Posted on July 31, 2012 by L&G

Normally, I don’t deal with rumours. It is kind of pointless in even writing about them, because if the rumour doesn’t turn out to be true, it becomes a complete waste of both mine, and your time. Sometimes though, rumours are just too juicy to ignore. Take this for instance; it has now been rumoured that Apple will be dropping their next iPhone on Wednesday, 12th of September, nearly a month earlier than the last major product release. Crazy huh? Of course, this doesn’t come as no surprise, as the American computer giant reported a revenue of $35.02 billion dollars and net income of $8.82 billion for the fiscal third quarter of 2012, numbers that were well beyond the same period last year, but much lower than the stock analysts high-expectations.

To make matters worse, arch rival Samsung announced a record fiscal quarter of $41.79 billion dollars, with a vast majority of profit coming from its smartphone sales, not to mention its new Galaxy S III Android phone broke the 10 million units mark in global sales. Heavy.

All of this, adds to the fact that Apple realistically updates their iPhone range every 2 years (iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4s simply isn’t a large  enough jump), makes for Apple’s semi-decline, and given the momentum over leaked images and technical specification over the last few months, its almost for certain the event will be about the new iPhone.

Get ready for the pandemonium.
