Video: Nicki Minaj ‘Pound the Alarm’

The YMCMB Queen has released her latest video clip for ‘Pound the Alarm’. Set in Trinidad, it’s a bit left field for Nicki but still has that unmistakable Barbie touch.

The opening montage features picturesque views of The Port of Spain, Trinidad and had me wondering how Benny Boom would give it that glittery, gangster Barbie look Nicki is now synonymous with.

Nicki Minaj always delivers, and appears this time with a blonde afro and embellished bra. The clip then takes a Carnivale-themed turn and it’s all feathers, legs and boobs of her ‘bad bitches.’

The clip is free of the production values we saw in Starships, and is probably as real as a Nicki Minaj video is going to get. The focus on gyrating, breasts and blue seas was enough to inspire me to get to Trinidad.

If this 4:14 video hasn’t got you excited for Nicki’s Australian Tour later this year, I’m not sure what will. After all, she’s “a bad bitch, no muzzle.”
