When we received 10 copies of Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg’s Mac and Devin Go To High School (on Blu-ray. Ha!!!) we quickly learnt why it went straight to DVD.

The movie opens with Slow Burn, an animated joint, advising, “you can’t watch this movie without no weed.” Really, that should have been the point where we turned it off, or went out to fetch 30 ounces and smoke us into a coma – which I’m sure is the only state from which I’d enjoy this film.

The film follows Mac (Snoop Dogg/Lion) as a 15 year old senior at N.Hale High School (get it?), and Devin (Wiz Khalifa) as a soon-to-be valedictorian.

Naturally, a hot schoolteacher is the reason their worlds collide and they start ‘studying’ together which leads them to getting high, all the time. Mac lives in a fucking dope apartment and has a hydroponic set up.

The whole story was ridiculous, but I wondered where Mac’s parents were? Oh, he’s a 40 year old dude playing a 15 year old without parents. I get it. Cue the awkward 5 minute film clips where Wiz and Snoop perform in a manner of little relevance to the questionable story line.

Whilst Snoop Dogg(Lion) is no stellar actor, his appearances in the likes of Starsky and Hutch and Soul Plane lead me to believe I might laugh once. How wrong I was. Even camoes from Mike Epps, Tyga, YG, Far East Movement and Andy Milonakis did nothing.

Mac and Devin Go To High School is easily the worst film I’ve seen in 2012. The only good thing to come from it is the track Young, Wild and Free and even then, I’m not sure the track is a fair trade for the hour I lost of my life.
