So… I grew a beard.
Yeah, I know it’s kind of ‘in’ right now to do so, but fuck it, I did it for a good cause. Not only did I grow a beard, but I also grew my hair out. Keep in mind that I normally have a shaved head, so this was HUGE for me. I have had a shaved head since my trip to the US, and have never looked back. (Pro-tip for you guys that have grown your hair long: A shaved head is where it is at)
I hear you asking why would you do such a thing? Well, I had a date with the boys over at Barber Supreme on the Rocks, where I would get a haircut and cutthroat shave, so having hair to actually cut off was a must.
First up, was a head shave. It has been a while since I have had head shaved from a professional, so I was kind of reluctant with having someone other than my Dad getting close to me with a razor. What’s awesome (but sucks for my Dad) is that this was by far the best head shave I have had in like forever. Not only is the best hair cut I have had in forever, but it even rivalled my first one back in Brooklyn. Big call, right? When it comes to my head getting shaved, I am way too particular to make statements like that and to be honest, this exaggeration is 100% valid. Epic times.
Next up was a shave. I for one, have never had a cutthroat shave, so this was an experience that would knock off an item off my bucket-list. In comparison to my normal mach-3 shave, Chris with a cutthroat is off the chain good. Not only does he shave as close as humanly possible to the skin, but he also does everything from the hot towels, to skincare creams so that it doesn’t get irritated and itchy. Good times. I would recommend you definitely go down there and check them out. If it’s not for a haircut and shave, go down for the good banter they provide. They are pretty funny bros.
