Olympic athletes Asthon Eaton and Kirani James present the new Nike Sportswear Pinnacle Collection for Fall/Winter 2012.

In typical Nike fashion, their aptly named Pinnacle collection seems to indeed reach a climatic point — as far as sports apparel goes. Utilising those at the pinnacle of their career American decathlete Eaton and Grenadian sprinter James double as decent models.

Promptly post the London Olympics and Nike’s Dream Team Collection — which left Textbook wondering what about the 1996 dream team – the collection features refined silhouettes, premium textiles and an attention to detail.

Inspiration was drawn from Nike’s running roots, and the collection thus birthed a hybrid of sophistication and tracksuit. There’s a range of jackets, tees, pants and footwear well worth investigating.
