With the utilisation of monochrome aesthetics, Stampd took their gear across to the other side of country to NYC, and came out with this awesome photoshoot.

Using the greatest city on earth to photograph, Stampd new lookbook features current staples within Stampd’s collection alongside new pieces that look the goods. The new pieces have not been released yet which sucks, but we are looking at a release date in the next coming months.

From Stampd: “With the West Coast centric vibe that we’ve been carrying through Stampd recently, I thought it was necessary to showcase our other half (NYC), focusing in on a city that not only inspires myself, but is the home to many friends. Shot on location in a subway car in Soho, NY, we created a set of images that speak about an aesthetic that we believe in, one that we live…”

I actually like their gear. Kind of reminds me a little of Diamond Supply Co., which realistically isn’t a bad thing. I have always been a fan of black, or white tee’s, so seeing this collection could have me dropping some cash on some of their tee’s or hoodies.

I always thought he was kidding around about reggae, and that it was all for a massive publicity stunt as his career star was diminishing. Guess it wasn’t all an act as this track is good… I mean, really good.

Cut from his forthcoming Reincarnated album, and teaming up with YMCMB lord Drake, and daughter Cori B, we have a totally new track from Snoop Lion aptly titled “No Guns Allowed”. Following the themes of his new life direction that Snoop has taken, “No Guns Allowed” takes on a more smooth, solemn tone than what we are used to seeing from Snoop.  We are obviously never going to get another ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, but hey, I don’t think we ever will. That track is an all-time great. But whatever, I actually really like what I am seeing here from Snoop.

The atmospheric production of this track is crazy also. Making use of tribal drums and a catchy piano hook really represents where Snoops heads at, and with the soothing vocals of Drake, the track makes you want to chill in a hammock somewhere, drinking a coconut. Speaking of hammocks and drinking coconuts, I could really go for that right now.

Nike Sportswear have unveiled their “Superhuman” collection, which has utilized the Nike Hyperflight as a base for some out of this world looking kicks. They seem pretty out there to be honest. Nike seem to love the all over print they seem to be using more and more.

Each of the shoes represents one of the Nike Basketball’s elite athletes, with the likes of Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant being on display. The cool thing about these shoes though, is that Nike is honoring their athletes by making each shoe themed to the specific superstar.

Firstly, Kevin Durant’s shoe has been giving the lightning touch with the shoe being covered in a lightning storm to represent his speed. The LeBron James shoe honors LeBron’s diamond-like toughness, and Kobe’s with what looks like a snakes x-ray, representing his snake-like awareness.

Adding to the collection is a Nike Air Force 1 in the same style as the Hyperflight, only this time around, instead of having graphics all over the shoe, the colourways are the only difference. The shoe stays true to the Air Force 1 shape and look, which is good.

Look for this “Superhuman” collection to release March 29, 2013 at select retailers.

In what has been an absolute resurgence in shoe companies making retro’s of their kicks (Jordan Brand is the king in this department and have this game on lock), Saucony has placed a renewed dedication into their retro fashion category, and with great results.

The retro kicks from Saucony that were dropped back in 2002 have returned in a plethora of colourways, which means that they will have every outfit sorted. Plus, you can actually run and do shit in them which is a huge plus.

My personal favourite? The Dunlop-esque blue/grey model. Have to say, they look awesome.

Built around the Jazz and Shadow models that Saucony have become famous for, these shoes will be fire and are available at any Saucony retailer, or online at saucony’s webstore.

Coming soon as part of a special edition collaborative effort between A Bathing Ape and Transformers, is this absolutely amazing, red camouflaged edition of the Optimus Prime and his infamous Autobot convoy. This really takes me back. I remember I was super young when I received this as a gift from my parents, and thought it was the best thing I had ever seen.

Ahhh, the good times. When shit was so much more simpler.

For those out there wondering if this new camouflage from BAPE is something they have thought up specific for the collaboration, it actually isn’t. Staying somewhat true to the genuine age of how long Transformers have been around for, BAPE decided to use a camouflage print that is actually from their first drop, back when BAPE was at it’s peak.

There is still nothing that even comes close to this camouflage to be honest. Brands try and try again to compete, but they simply do not have it.

The rest of the trailer however, holds true to its original state, which sets off such a cool collectable piece. An awesomely weird collaboration that in my eyes goes perfect together. Who would have thought that BAPE, a known Streetwear label would go down that path of a classic anime from the 80’s and 90’s? Not me, thats for sure.

BAPE, you have just gone up 10 notches in my books.

Crazy, right? Trust me, if you haven’t seen his work, it is incredibly impressive.

Today however, Nardwuar caught up with ‘IT’ guy right now, Atlanta up-and-coming rapper Trinidad Jame$ at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Yes, it is Trinidad Jame$. The guy who is behind the absolute monster track “All Gold Everything” and “All Gold Everything (remix)” featuring T.I, Young Jeezy, and 2 Chainz.

As you may already expect, the interview contains footage of Nardwuar’s surprising Trinidad Jame$ with his deep and extensive research and knowledge into who he is, and where his background lies. It is cool to see Nardwuar find out so much about him  and bring it to light so you can actually see who he is behind all that gold superstar persona. It makes Trinidad look like an absolute lord, as he comes across as such a cool, laid back, humble dude.

I want to hang out with him now. Maybe invite him to the next Halfway Crooks.

Bringing back some serious nostalgia for all you Air Max OG’s out there, Nike previews the re-release of the iconic Air Max BW (or for those out there who know a thing or two about acronyms in the Nike world, “Big Window”) in it’s signature “Persian Violet” colourway.

Having been four years since this colour option was seen last, the rebirth of the Nike Air Max BW sees many design characteristics that were apparent on its early predecessors. For starters, the preformatted heel panel to the upper that blends both suede and mesh.

I dont know if it is just me, or does that look like a yellowed sole to you? If it is, I am definitely out. I cannot get passed the whole ‘OG’ thing Nike is doing at the moment with their shoes. The Air Max 95 ‘Neons’ are the only one out of the package that got me excited out of the bunch, but hey, if these badboys are not yellowed, I am definitely in.

The Air Max BW have already somewhat been released, and although a worldwide release hasn’t been announced as yet, the Nike Air Max BW OG is currently available through Switzerland based homies Titolo’s webstore for a bit over $200 AUD.

There is something so cool about a matching luggage collection, that when I see chaps walking around the airport practically dominating with their awesome as fuck luggage, it makes me insanely jealous. Sure you have all of those Louis V’s you can spend a million on, but every person as his dog who has the cash will go down that route. Why not instead go with Carhartt?

We all know what Carhartt is about. Quality, innovation, practicality and style. So imagine the all those characteristics with the Carhartt WIP collaboration with luggage lords UDG? Since the early 2000’s, UDG has become the go-to brand for globetrotting DJs and musicians, as each bag is designed explicitly to protect their shit and do it well. Why is it a sick marriage? Just look at it. First thing you think when you see them, is that it looks like a Yeezy plain and simple. (Now if only that sole glowed in the dark.)

The Roche Run has proven to be an absolute fan favourite since its initial release thanks to pairing a simple mesh upper, with a plush Solarsoft sole for cushioning. With a super clean look, low price point and superior comfort, you cant really go wrong.

As the shoe offers pretty much an unlimited canvas for imagination of colourway direction, Nike Sportswear has created the Roche Run FB for the 2013 spring/summer season inspired by the aggressive styling of the brands football cleat making some serious use of a Black/Pink Flash-Fresh Mint-Chrome colorway. Where the shoe makes its serious mark as a soccer style shoe, is the Swoosh tick being moved to the toebox from its usual placement on the quarter panels, while the branding itself sees a leopard-spotted print throughout, almost identical to that of the upcoming Elastico Finale II from the brands FC247 Collection.

I for one, really dislike the Swoosh placement. Sure, they are trying to go for the whole Football theme, but fuck that. You have ruined a perfectly good silhouette with branding.

The Los Angeles brand’s Fall and Holiday collection brings together the laid-back awesomeness of streetwear, and the coolness of outdoor gear which has resulted in a range of gear that will make it into anyone’s wardrobe as the gear is not only wearable, but super functional.

Staple shit, guys. You seriously cannot go wrong with it.

The range has woven shirts that in my opinion are the highlight of the collection. As we are heading into Winter soon enough, that is the stuff that everyone will be wearing, so having a strong showing of shirts is key. This includes the Aspen, which features a Nordic-inspired knit panel in the back, the micro-dot patterned 100% cotton fleece Kildare shirt, and the Hatteras, a classic Oxford shirt adorned by a subtle trophy pattern. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me.

Nothing will ever come close, really. It is one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ gifts that when you get it from someone, it is actually quite humbling.

Today, OriginalFake have released the Astro Boy Companion in Grey in its collaboration with my favourite artist of all-time; KAWS. For those out there too young to know who Astro Boy is, you really need to get on YouTube and search him. He is one of the classic anime’s from back in the day. It is seriously that good. To be honest, it really is where anime started for me, and it was WAY before my time also.

The detail on this Astro Boy is on point, and unlike last time when KAWS and OriginalFake released the iconic Astro Boy in a colour interpretation of the manga boy robot, the grey colourway is top notch, and looks amazing. It honors the Osamu Tezuka-created character’s orginal 1952 black and white appearance, the Companion incorporates instantly recognizable elements of both characters, and was released at KAWSOME just a few days ago.

Stussy may appreciate the quality like I do, as today, Stussy releases the heavy weighted Army t-shirt that sports the former brands patented Reverse Weave Army Logo on the front.

I for one love nothing more than a super heavy quality tee, and at a weight of 9.4 oz, the apparel not only loads high durability, but isn’t print heavy which gives a simple aesthetic and feel for quite a cool tee.

My only gripe? I am so over that font that Stussy continue to use. Sure it has become their  ‘thing’, but it is so dated and… Old. They need to come up with something a little more modern and less 1980′s. The only brand that can pull off 80′s shit is Nike.

The Stussy x Champion Army tee comes in four colourways consisting in navy, black, grey and white, and is only available at the Stussy Japan webstore for  ¥7,140 JPY (approximately $72 AUD).

Today, we get their Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook, and doesn’t it look the goods. Levi’s certainly has an absolute stranglehold on the urban commuter market. I love my pair of chinos. I mean, how can you go past a pair of pants that are extremely comfy riding to work and back. The good thing about them is, that they look off the chain too, and still corporate enough for people working in an office.

Just like before, their Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook runs on the same principle as they have over the years. Clean lines, with nice and appealing colours. Their regular looking pants, tops and jackets are not only equipped for any occasion, but they also have those technical details that we have all come to expect and love.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Levi Commuter series at any local retailer stocking them.

Undefeated has just now dropped their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and it looks legit. Utilizing olive tiger camouflage on their garments and accessories in what is a familiar mix of military and athletic designs, the new range from Undefeated looks the shit.

Made from a 100% nylon shell wit ha 100% cotton jersey lining, the Tech Coach Jacket is what stands out the most. Featuring tackle twill details, fastening cords, and a snap button closure that combines for both sideline function and street style, this season also features the ‘All Good’ sweatpants and shorts and my least favourite of the bunch; the 5-Strike tank. All of these items showcase silk screen prints, embroidered details and the distinctive stripped camo pattern on a variety of sport-inspired silhouettes.

Finishing the collection, Undefeated have some similarly patterned scarves, backpacks, snapbacks and keychains that will have all Undefeated fans happy, and ready for the coming season.

Taking inspiration from the world of religion and its iconography, Givenchy and its Creative Director who gives no fucks and kills it; Riccardo Tisci, have this for the high-fashion world in their Spring/Summer 2013 graphic tee.

Featuring what can only be described as a Renaissance-like depiction of the Madonna, the tee is the latest piece of gothic-esque streetwear that plays on the adoption of religious archetyles displaying the Virgin Mary practically front and center.

The 100% black cotton tee can be purchased at MR PORTER now for $670 USD, which is a hefty price to pay for something that looks like it is straight out of a Jay Jays catalogue.

I for one, think this tee is absolutely overrated. Yes, I understand that the price isn’t just an arbitrary number and that it’s part of the product. And yes, I understand that Givenchy isn’t charging $670 because it costs $335 to make the tee, but why do it?

I guess Givenchy charge that premium to prevent people from purchasing their products, which realistically, is all to do with marketing. Only a certain tier of consumers can afford to drop that kind of money for a t-shirt, and that’s who Givenchy wants rocking their shit.

It’s all about exclusivity, people.

After much speculation, and sightings, Nike are set to release its Foamposite One in white on white which has me screaming “Hells yeah!”.

It has been 16 years since the initial introduction of the Nike Air Foamposite One, and it has maintained a massive amount of popularity thanks to still futuristic looks, crazy colourways, and it’s association with one of my favourite ballers of all-time; Penny Hardaway.

For those out there who don’t know, the Foamposite was dropped for the first time in 1997. Designed by Nike Basketball’s Eric Avar who was inspired by a molded sunglasses case, the Foamposite One was an absolute smash-hit from the get go.

This is quite possibly the cleanest version of the Foamposite to date, which coincidently has been billed as “Cleanest yet.”. The White/White-Metallic Silver edition of the later part of the 90’s consists of a tonal upper of white Foamposite, nubuck and mesh with matching laces, metallic silver branding, a carbon fiber shank, with translucent (icy) rubber sole. Making up for a an absolute awesome shoe.

The crisp all-white Nike Air Foamposite One will be dropping at Nike across the world on March 29^th for $220USD, so you better be quick, as these are guaranteed to sell out quick.

Taking a more clean approach then what we have come to expect from Billionaire Boys Club this season as opposed to some of the last, the brand continues to play with patterns and uniquely done denim washes. Like most brands, Camouflage still plays strongly (on only a few items), and like most years with BBC, it always does and will always do. Some of the more classic silhouettes have been flipped with interesting colour choices that may have some wondering whether to cope or not.

A couple of other notable items have embroidery details throughout and some awesome prints to.

The results? Well, let’s just say they are great results.

The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 employs an upper of soft and flexible intertwined synthetic bands that are tightened around the foot, giving a runner added support and stability when in motion – Which happens to be the latest making of the Dynamic Fit System featured throughout a variety of Nike’s silhouettes across a number of different sports.

The sole of the shoe, is comprised of a low-profile Free 5.0 sole, which gives not only the flexibility that the Free has become known for, but also enough traction for you not to fall over and dirty your suit on the way to work.

The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 is set to launch at the end of the month, so keep your eyes peeled for March 28^th.

I for one cannot wait for these to get released in black with a white sole. That shit would be tight. I am already thinking up outfits for it.

I really didn’t understand why, as I have always thought that all New Balances looked the same. I must say though, now that we get a really good look at them, I have changed my mind.

After many delays, the limited edition shoe finally has a release date. This has been a long time coming, as many shoe heads have been waiting ever so patiently for these to drop. With purple hues all over the sneaker, white and black colouring on the upper of this celebratory sneaker, it actually looks all-time. The midsole features a speckled motif and fang marks to give it that Tasmanian Devil feel.

Not only will the shoe be a great addition to anyone’s outfit, regardless of what you are doing or wearing, the Sneaker Freaker boys will also be making a large donation to save the diminishing Tasmanian Devil population. Nice, huh?

The shoe will be released in selected location in Australia on Saturday, March 16, and at the elite New Balance retailers in both Europe and Asia on Saturday, March 30.

Inspired by menswear from the 1960’s, the collection has a refined look from its casual wear, to more formal wear.

From the patterns, to the strong colours, the collection is complimented by its simple lines and what seem to be awesome fitting menswear (which in my eyes, is the most important part). Of the whole range however, there is  a quilted jacket with a leather collar that has everyone here frothing. It cements that classy masculinity of the collection, while maintaining its functional sensibilities. It’s epic.

Like mentioned before though, the range will not be made available over here is Australia, as this collection from I Love Ugly will exclusively be stoked in the UK. Oh well, I guess we have to wait to see what they come out with here, and if it is anything like this line, we should start getting ready to burn some serious holes in our wallets.

You have all seen them. From fashionista’s walking around for a coffee with their bishes, to suits walking to work with their Free Runs on instead of their business style shoes. It has become a common site, and is definitely the in thing right now. They are sick, and they go with any outfit you throw at them. With the release of this new model, it is an absolute certain that there will be a huge upgrade by people out there to this latest version.

The shoe itself features the now famous flexible sole that build the whole franchise, and is backed by a visible Flywire that has been seen on the Lunaracer+3. This is totally going to add further stability to the construction of sneaker, something that has been questioned in the past by many Free Run owners. Good thing to, because the shoe finally comes out today at Nike retailers.

I for one will be making the trek down to physically see them. My Flyknits are getting dirtier by the day, and as I don’t know if I can machine wash them or not, buying a new pair of sneakers may be only option. Or maybe I am just looking for an excuse to buy another pair of shoe…

I got pretty excited, because the shoes looked legit. I was already imagining outfits that I could rock with them. I have never really been a fan of collaborative Vans kicks, but they definitely caught my eye.

Today, we see that collaborative shit come to light. Firstly, Supreme and Vans are no strangers to collaborating. They have released a slue of awesome looking Vans that on the regular sell out like Hot Cakes. This time around, it is absolutely no different, with taking heavy influence from their collaboration with COMME des GARCONS shirt, the shoe is heavily defined by the high-contrast usage of differing COMME des GARCONS fabrics over both super popular Vans models; the Era and Half-Cab.

If you are looking at trying to cop a pair now, unfortunately you are going to have to wait, as the Vans collaboration wont be dropping till June of this year.

In comes 94Fifty. A brand that does not have anything to do with footwear, but are about to drop a new version of what could quite possibly be game changing.

The sports technology company has introduced a Bluetooth-equipped basketball. Noted as being “motion sensor basketballs for rapid skills development,” the basketball, which has been created in conjunction with Spalding, allows players to chronicle a variety of data related to dribbling, passing, shooting, and more, all while boasting competition modes for up to four players, specially designed workouts, and analysis of one’s shooting form.

Crazy right?

The ball is powered by internal batteries that can be recharged wirelessly for players who have no time sitting down to charge the ball before a session, which helps a heap for people like me who are lazy as hell.

The 94Fifty Bluetooth basketball is due for release in October, and will be priced at a reasonable $200 USD.

The OG craze that has struck Nike seems like it is not ending anytime soon, as one of my personal favourite Air Max 90s… Of all-freaking-time… Has been given the OG feel. Yes my friends, it is the Laser Blues.

People have never really thought of these as a classic. It may have something to do with the popularity of the Infrareds that has really pushed these to the backburner, who knows? I love them. They are such a classic colourway. Good thing Nike sure knows of how classic these really are, because they have given them that vintage sole look that to be honest, rubs me up the wrong way. Why cant they just stop with that shit? It doesn’t look at all good.

When PRIMO! magazine was in it’s infant stages, I remember writing an article on when Nike was set to release the Laser Blue’s, and I thought they would have been a smash hit. Seeing that stores still had the shoe on shelves 6 months later, proved that they didn’t so hopefully with this release, they will maybe be far better received considering the popularity of runners at the moment. Don’t believe me, seriously look at peoples shoes. They are either Free Runs, Flyknits, or New Balance.

Japanese legendary fashion magazine SENSE has produced this editorial for their April 2013 issue that surprisingly stars not only Jason Dill, but pretty big-time actress Chloe Sevigny for the Supreme x COMME des GARCONS SHIRT Spring 2013 Collection Lookbook. The capsule collection itself, is off the freakin’ chain. Really, there is not much else we can say about it. It is that simple. Presented in this collection, is a nice range consisting of t-shirts, shirts, jackets, bucket hats, 5-panel caps as well as what seems to be a little teaser of another round of Vans sneakers that seems to be in the works for the guys (I think it’s an era and a Half Cab).

As for the clothing itself, like I said, it looks awesome. Just when I thought their gear was getting a little stale and repetitive, the two king pins have worked with a polka dot digital camouflage print and of course, what they used last time: The mirrored Supreme box logo. Nice.

The absolute big beat anthem of 2013 (super early to call it, but fuck-it, this track is amazing), sees the Pro Era lord chatter slang in an animated delight that cavorts around the cartoon-esque New York landscape. The track itself, like I said in my previous article is just bliss, bringing back Hip Hop to where it should be. A nice change of pace from what has become a full trap environment. It brings you back to why you listened to Hip Hop in the first place really.

The video itself, was directed by Coodie and Chike (and not using his usual film crew which has done most if not all of Bada$$’s videos. You know the bros… “Creative Control”.), and with such amazing results, it will be good to see what they can do next if they work together on a different project.

On a side note, Bada$$ and Premo are actually performing live, and word on the street has it that it will be filmed and shared on YouTube. For those over in the states like our boy Chuck Taylor, you can go see them together at the Green Label Sound House on March 15 for SXSW.

Hussein Chalayan, the award-winning designer has teamed up with PUMA to make this absolutely ridiculous Conflate sneaker for their Spring/Summer 2013 drop.

The shoe, which can only be described as “…WTF is that?”, isn’t fucking around, as it has collaged bird print on a somewhat slim silhouette that features a combination of synthetic materials on the upper, and comes finished with some nice little leather trim. It doesn’t end there, as the sole of the shoe has been given the ice-blue translucent treatment all in all, making a pretty outrageous shoe that is still cool enough to wear on the regular. I am thinking plain chinos with a plain shirt.

This latest shoe from PUMA and Chalayan is now available from Kith‘s web store for a pretty outrageous $220 USD. Looking at the price, and then looking back at the shoe makes me give a massive pass on these. You can pick up a pair of Jordans for $220, and if I had to choose, I would be on the Jordans 10 out of 10 times.

Still, a pretty quirky shoe that will definitely have PUMA heads loving life.

In4mation, a brand heavily influenced by its root of surf and skate, shows in this regard its strong affinity towards laid back Hawaiian motifs for its all new Spring 2013 lookbook.

With themes of friendship, freedon and nature, the range has a strong showing with some key standout pieces that have me thinking of copping on drop. What exactly do I like in this drop? Well, for starters their “hi” appliqued snapback is awesome, their button downs seem to be on point, their camouflage looks legit, and what seems to be an extremely well fitting pair of chino pants. That black zip hoodie looks the goods as well, as it emcompasses a pretty cool criss-cross bone logo. You cannot really go wrong with black zip hoodies.

Hawaii has never really been known for their streetwear game, and now, it seems that In4mation is actually placing Hawaii on the map in this regard.

The spring collection will be made available via retailers that stock In4mation worldwide, as well as In4mations online store.

If you’re a regular PRIMO! reader, then you’ll know that we are always down for some Tyga. After all, ‘Rack City’ is THE GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME. The same can often be said 2Chainz – after all, his verse on Mercy was the shit and rhymed “champagne” with “airplane.” Genius. However, 2Chainz’s verse on Trinidad James’ ‘All Gold Everything’ remix was pretty fucking bad and almost ruined a modern hip-hop classic.

That’s why we were so scared to hit the ‘play’ button on the YouTube video below – a remix of K-Pop anthem ‘Gangnam Style.’ Last time PSY toured, he charged like $130 or something for one song, so you know that this dude is all about the business. Also, it’s rumoured that he’s related to our writer OneEightKevin. There is only one word to describe this remix: stinker.

Diplo is behind the boards, but even that isn’t enough to get anyone moderately enthused or horse-dancing. It’s been slowed down with a trap-esque beat but obviously doesn’t hold a candle to Waka Flocka, Gucci or any other modern day trap god. Listen below if you dare:
